The Naval Connection Celebrates Success at Technology in Maritime
(TIM) 2024
Mumbai, October 1, 2024 – The Naval Connection proudly concluded the
Technology in Maritime (TIM) 2024 event at the Celebrations Sports Club,
Mumbai, showcasing a vibrant platform for maritime innovation and
collaboration.
Over the past four years, the Technology in Maritime (TIM) event has
established itself as a pivotal platform for technological engagement within the
maritime industry. As the largest gathering focused on maritime technology,
TIM has evolved into a dynamic start up hub, fostering innovation and
collaboration among industry leaders, start-ups, and academia. This year's
event marks a significant milestone, highlighting the industry's commitment to
embracing technological advancements and driving sustainable growth
through enhanced networking and knowledge sharing opportunities.
The event commenced with the Innovation in Maritime (IIM) segment, where
students showcased their ground-breaking ideas in dedicated stalls, followed
by the Yuva Tarang Cultural festival, celebrating the talents of young
performers. Each institute put up a great show of talent and skills.
The afternoon session began with the inauguration of TIM 2024, featuring a
welcome note from Capt. Shoukat Mukherjee, CEO of The Naval Connection.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Rajnish Kumar, a Shanti Swarup
Bhatnagar National Award-winning professor from IIT Madras, who provided
insightful perspectives on maritime technology. Special Guest Speaker,
Padmini Mellacheravu, a technology specialist from Lloyd's Register, captivated
the audience with her expertise on future energy technologies and the use of
Hydrogen as an alternate fuel for propulsion.
